This was one of the first villages studied in 1998 during a whirlwind tour of Mexico. The town was located by word of mouth from nearby Popoluca villages. The belt is woven on a back strap loom as is the skirt. The blouse was located in another home. The villagers took great delight in dressing my friend up in the skirt and belt. I have not returned to the village to confirm the blouse, but it was the only example we could find at the time.
