Altequizayan is located on a new road that enters from Zapotitlan or Ixtepec. It is an orderly and clean town with recently paved streets. The Totonacan women here wear a crocheted or running stitch blouse and a white skirt with the broad Totonacan belt. In daily use they wear an apron over top and when going out the use the lace quechquemitl.
